How often to get a scaling — and what the price covers

An advertised scaling price is usually a starting price. What moves the bill is polishing, X-rays and any follow-up treatment. Here is what is typically included and what is charged on top.

This is general information for comparing packages — not individual medical advice, and not a substitute for seeing a doctor.

How often it is usually advised

People without gum problems are usually advised to have a scaling every 6–12 months. Those with gum inflammation, who smoke, or who wear braces may be advised to come more often. The right interval depends on your own mouth, and the dentist assesses it at the visit.

What a starting price often excludes

Most ฿590–฿890 packages cover the scaling and a polish, but X-rays, fillings and root canal work are billed separately. Before booking, check whether the listing says all costs are included and what is charged on top.
