Annual check-ups: what to test at each age

The best-value check-up is not the longest one — it is the one that matches your age and your risks. This article sets out what each price band usually covers, so comparing is easier before you book.

This is general information for comparing packages — not individual medical advice, and not a substitute for seeing a doctor.

Ages 20–29

A basic 15–20 item package is usually enough: blood count, blood sugar, lipids and liver–kidney function. In Chiang Mai that runs ฿590–฿1,500.

Ages 30–44

From here, 30–45 item packages start adding a chest X-ray and an abdominal ultrasound, at ฿2,500–฿5,900. If the results are for an employer, check the package covers what they ask for.

Ages 45 and over

Packages here add more targeted screening — thyroid function, cardiac tests and some sex-specific cancer screening — at ฿5,000–฿12,900. Ask the clinic which items need fasting and how long the visit takes.
